LEADERSHIP IN LOGISTICS

This page has been created with the idea that we pause to recognize the people within our companies and our industry, with the dedication to moving freight throughout our supply chain.

WHO do you know that deserves a little extra recognition?

Present them with a Transportation Club of Seattle's "Leadership In Logistics" Coin, we will share in the recognition right here, acknowledging their hard work and dedication to moving freight!

"SanMar Corporation is part of a coalition of U.S. apparel companies who worked with the US Government to build a supply chain to produce millions of much needed face masks. These masks are being distributed by the federal government to support hospitals, health care workers and others battling the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

President of SanMar, Jeremy Lott, was moved into action after one of his employees told him that her son, an EMT, was ill-equipped to help patients out in the field.  SanMar as a company pivoted in 2020 to manufacture Personal Protective Equipment and their International Logistics team worked tirelessly to secure air, ocean, OTR, and intermodal transit capacity to delivery over 225 Million masks to the US Government.  In recognition of their efforts, I’d like to award John Janson, Tim Smith, and Chris Swamy with commemorative Leadership in Logistics Coins from the Transportation Club of Seattle.

We are pleased to recognize Madeline Miller of MacMillan Piper as our inaugural recipient of the Transportation Club of Seattle’s “Leadership in Logistics” coin as a valuable contributor to both our Club and Industry.

Madeline worked summers at MacMillan Piper while attending St. Martin’s University and is now fully embracing the role of Corporate Relations and Development at MacMillan Piper.

Madeline has jumped right into the fray to assist the TCS Board with anything and everything that comes her way, much to our great appreciation!

Not only does Madeline bring a fresh, youthful and enthusiastic look at our Industry, she is also a former TCS Scholarship recipient….a stunning example of how the support given by the club is coming full circle back into our industry.
