Founded 1910
CELEBRATING 114 YEARS OF TRANSPORTATION IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST!
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
GERI POOR
President
On behalf of our growing Transportation Club of Seattle, it’s a pleasure to welcome you to join the club! Since 1910, this club has grown and diversified in each decade and we’ll continue to evolve to meet the interests and needs of our members. Our activities serve to:
develop and advance our careers in transportation and logistics through monthly Lunch & Learns and Networking Nights
support new talent through our annual Mentoring Program and through Scholarships supported by our LnL raffles and summer golf tournament
donate to charities with our annual Holiday Extravaganza and with our back-to-school backpack drive, benefiting the Salvation Army in White Center, and
recognize industry leaders for their contributions and provide leadership growth for members who join the board and chair any one of our many committees.
I'm excited to serve as President of the Transportation Club of Seattle for 2024! We’ve emerged from the pandemic taking the best of what we have been, and adding new members and corporate sponsors to innovate as we grow. TCS welcomed me at a mid-point in my career, and I’ve relished the lunches, speakers, and camaraderie of the members. Long-tenured at the Port of Seattle, I’ve seen many changes in aviation and maritime operations, and worked to ensure our agency creates economic opportunities and efficient responses to business and public needs. TCS members are a link to my work connecting industry and customers.
Many thanks to our strong and active board of directors who share a broad load in creating the programs, events and our social media channels. We encourage you to follow us on social media, join the club, and if you’re a member, to get involved in the committees’ activities and learn what’s involved in joining our Board. Our members and corporate sponsors are our bones and our board is our life blood.
Thank you for your engagement. I look forward to meeting you at our events and hearing your suggestions, questions and ideas for our Transportation Club of Seattle!
Sincere regards,
Geri Poor
