About our guest speaker: Jon Monroe: Jon Monroe is the founder of Jon Monroe Consulting and SYSM Technologies, a cloud-based platform for purchase order management. He collaborates with both freight forwarders and beneficial cargo owners (BCOs) to streamline the movement of freight and data through SYSM. During COVID, Jon set up and ran Transfar Shipping, the Alibaba backed container shipping line, operating seven (7) vessels between China and the US. With over 35 years of experience in China, Jon co-authored Yangtze River World Report, a comprehensive 381-page e-book that documents the containerization of the Yangtze River. This report was distributed by the Journal of Commerce in 2010. Currently, Jon serves as the Chief Representative for North America for Milky Way Chemical Logistics, China's largest chemical logistics company, as well as for Vantage, a Vietnam-based company with a strong presence across Southeast Asia.
