Welcome to 2021

Hello Club members and welcome to a new year!

The Board is busily preparing our roster of events for 2021 but we wanted to take a moment to reflect on one of the most challenging years in the Club's 110-year history.

In 2020 everyone had to adjust to a new, challenging reality with the arrival of the C0vid-19 pandemic. For the Club, we were faced with how, or if, we could stay connected during a year when in-person meetings were not possible.

But thanks to the dedication and innovation of our Board, and our members, we were able to pivot to a virtual format and continue our monthly Lunch and Learn events. We also expanded our social media presence as a way to stay engaged. We also continued two key programs: - Our scholarship committee awarded $9,250 to 10 deserving students. - And, after much debate, stops and starts, the club made or annual charity auction event happen, raising over $15,000 for the West Seattle branch of the Salvation Army. The Board would like to express its sincere thanks for all the continued support from members and sponsors. Your involvement and participation is more important than ever and ensured 2020 was a success!

We are excited for a new year and the prospect of seeing our members, IN PERSON, during 2021!

Our next Lunch and Learn virtual meeting is on February 3rd. The speaker will be Roger Millar, Secretary of Department of Transportation for Washington State.

We look forward to seeing you there!
